Island Landscape is a locally-owned company with over 15 years experience in Northwest horticulture and landscape service.

Plant Amnesty Member. We are skilled to ensure that proper landscape management practices and techniques are always used in the care of your lawn and garden.

Residential and Commercial Services. We offer one-time services and revolving accounts for residential and commercial properties within the Seattle area. Regular maintenance programs are available to fit unique situations and specific customer needs in landscape management.

Mowing. Performed on a seven or ten-day schedule, or as length dictates in non-summer months. Includes edging and blowing of walks, patios and drives.

Fertilizers and Treatments.

  • Moss Control - applied in the spring and fall
  • Lime (balances soil pH) - applied in the spring and fall
  • Plant and Rhododendron fertilizer - applied in the spring
  • Lawn fertilizer - application schedule varies
A slow-release, granular fertilizer is used to ensure an even application rate.

Herbicides (Optional)

Every two months, a yard's weed situation is appraised as to determine an ecologically sound and economically sensible method of control. This may include the use of herbicides so as to provide optional service while minimizing the cost to the customer. The type and amount of herbicide will vary from situation to situation as each yard is unique.

Weeding. This service is performed two or three times per month on a twelve-month basis using mechanical or manual means. We can also appraise yard weed situations for the use of weedkiller (herbicide) and can recommend the most ecologically sound and economical method of control.

Leaf Cleanup. Leaves and light debris will be removed from the yard on a periodic visit-to-visit basis and one major cleanup annually after all leaves have fallen.

Pruning. Most tree pruning is performed in the winter, though hedges and shrubs are pruned as needed.
